As promised, my new go-to smoothie that is the perfect post workout nutrition powerhouse. I seriously could drink this thing several times a day! Not only do you get some protein from the peanut butter, but adding the protein powder and collagen beefs it up even more. Most protein powders out there have some nasty added stuff that your body doesn't need, the cleanest protein powder I have found (that I like) is by Designs for Health. Adding collagen to your diet has some serious health benefits and I am all about helping my body age gracefully.
Post Workout Protein Smoothie
Serves 1
Ingredients:
1 cup almond milk
1 banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1-2 tbsp peanut butter
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1 scoop collagen peptides
8-10 ice cubes
Directions:
1. Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
2. Drink. 😉
Note: Increase or decrease ice cubes until you find the right consistency for you.
