I used to have gorgeous skin and then I hit my thirties...things went south. I tried EVERY product under the sun, spent a lot of money and put a ton of chemicals on my skin. We all know by now those ended up in my body...not good. Then we embarked on our journey of trying to have a baby, were met with difficulty, I ended up on hormones and things got REALLY nasty on my face. But now it wasn't just about me and my face, it was about the potential life that I hoped and dreamed to carry...chemicals especially no bueno now. I went on a hunt armed with my fingers and my computer. Research, research, research. Tons of crap out there. Ended up finding Belli Skincare and had some peace of mind. Belli paired with the amazing Clairsonic really cleared up my skin. And then I was introduced to Beautycounter (more on that next week)...I finally had an ENTIRE line of products that was completely safe and WORKED. Hip, hip hooray. I currently have an AM and PM routine and my skin has been flawless for a really long time now. I seriously can not remember the last time I had a blemish. Here is my arsenal today:
1. Beautycounter Routine Clean (AM Routine) --- EWG Rating: 2
2. Beautycounter Countertime Nourishing Cleansing Balm (PM Routine) --- EWG Rating: 2
3. Beautycounter Anytime Eye Cream (AM Routine) --- EWG Rating: 2
4. Beautycounter Everyday AM Hydrating Cream (AM Routine) --- EWG Rating: 2
5. Beautycounter Countertime Vibrant Eye Perfector (PM Routine) --- EWG Rating: 1
6. Beautycounter Lustro Face Oil* (PM Routine) --- EWG Rating: 1
7. Belli Anti-blemish Face Wash (not currently using but really loved this product so I wanted to mention it) --- EWG Rating: 2
8. Beautycounter Countertime Restorative Night Cream (PM Routine) --- EWG Rating: 2
9. Clairsonic Mia 2 (PM Routine) - this made such a big difference for my skin, everybody should own one of these.
*I have oily skin and my thought was "why the hell would I add oil to my already oily skin. Well, a lot of the times the reason you have oily skin is because the lack of moisture in your skin causes your pores to go into hyperdrive trying to hydrate your skin. By utilizing oil it actually helps your skin quit producing as much, who knew?!? This stuff works...wonders.
